EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS

Jimmy had over 20 years of experience in financial restructuring and insolvency work with KPMG in Malaysia. He led the establishment of the restructuring practice in Jakarta before retiring as a KPMG Singapore & Indonesia partner in 2017.

His unique blend of financial and operational experience gained during his tenure at KPMG and his background as an accountant add significant value to his current legal work in restructuring, insolvency, and M&A.

He was a contributing writer for the book, Law and Practice of Corporate Insolvency in Malaysia, published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2019.

He co-edited the book Restructuring and Insolvency: A Commentary, published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2023, with a former high court judge.  These publications are a testament to his deep understanding and expertise in the field.

He was appointed to the board of Lonpac Insurance Bhd on 1 August 2019 as an independent non-executive director. He serves on the audit, risk & sustainability committees and chairs the governance committee.
