COMPETITION LAW/ANTI-TRUST

Our lawyers have advised and acted in matters relating to the Competition Act. This includes assisting and representing clients in investigations conducted by the Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC). Our approach to this area of practice has been to be involved in and support clients at the commencement of any investigation by MyCC through to the resolution of the matter. 

Apart from the Competition Act 2010, we have advised clients on the operation of provisions on the regulation of anti-competitive conduct in various industries such as telecommunications and aviation. 

In the course of our work, we also carry out awareness exercises to flag potential issues with a view to fostering compliance. We understand at the outset that anti-trust matters regularly go beyond considerations of the black letter of the law into matters relating to industrial economics, and strive to take a holistic approach in our advice and representation.
